Sales Operations Associate

About the role:

This full-time role reports to the Chief Executive Officer. If you like closing deals, developing relationships via telephone/video calls, writing, and developing and executing efficient processes, this job is perfect for you.

As an integral member of our team, you’ll work closely with the business development team to develop and execute on a school and district sales strategy, develop and manage our business development team’s processes, and coordinate and execute brand awareness and marketing events. You’ll also have exposure to other areas of the company as you put your organizational and operational skills to work across departments.

Role responsibilities:

    • National pipeline qualification and development:
      • Manage meeting, conference, and networking event follow-up for warm leads
      • Coordinate and eventually lead sales meetings
      • Develop and deliver client proposals
      • Recruit district partners for regional and remote seminars
  • Pipeline management:
      • Prepare and maintain reports via CRM for weekly team meetings, semi-quarterly leadership meetings, and quarterly board meetings
      • Create and enforce CRM processes to ensure maximum efficiency, consistent usage, and accurate reporting organization-wide
      • Support RFP coordination and submission
      • Provide analytics, as requested, to support the sales forecasting and business planning process
      • Manage quote-to-close process from inside the office
      • Own, distribute, and track progress on all inbound sales leads
  • NYC business ownership:
    • Manage NYC school-level sales and renewals
    • Own inbound NYC leads, from pitch to close

Here’s a high level look at your first year with Kinvolved:

  • Months 1–3: Hit the ground running. Learn the Kinvolved pitch, become familiarized with and begin to own processes and systems, start warm lead outreach and NYC renewal efforts. Own NYC business, both renewal and inbound lead to close. Own CRM management.
  • Months 4–6: Take personal ownership of lead qualification and process development and improvements.
  • Months 7–9: Potentially begin to shadow sales leadership at networking events. Work and close a book of business, carrying a quota equal to 33% of the company’s overall revenue goal.

Qualities/experience:

  • Sales CRM experience and knowledge required
  • Organized, disciplined, and process and goal-oriented
  • Self-directed and motivated

  • Sales experience preferred
  • Education experience a plus

School Training Associate

School Training Associate (Contractor)

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role supports client trainings for a growing education technology company. The contractor will provide in-person, school-based trainings for New York City schools.

This is a great opportunity for anyone planning to work in education, education technology, or professional services, as well as for anyone interested in training educators and administrators.

  • Love teaching educators and administrators how to use technology
  • Have strong communication skills

This is a contracted role, and you will need to be available on demand to provide school-based trainings across the five boroughs of the New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver in-person trainings for educators and administrators
  • Teach educators and administrators how to use KiNVO, Kinvolved’s web and mobile app
  • Support educators and administrators in strategic KiNVO implementations, in alignment with Kinvolved’s curriculum on family engagement and attendance improvement
  • Gather and report feedback collected during trainings

Qualities and qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work one-on-one with educators and administrators
  • Ability to deliver a presentation in front of a large group of people
  • Previous experience in education

Contracting period: As needed by the company, from January through June 2019. This contractor role may extend to the 2019–2020 school year, with room for potential full-time employment and growth.

Compensation: Hourly rate for travel and trainings.

Client Operations Intern

Client Operations Intern

Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, this role supports the client operations of a growing education technology company. The intern will receive hands-on experience providing customer support and managing logistics for our client events.

This is a great opportunity for anyone planning to work in education, education technology, event coordination and planning, or customer relations.

You’re a good fit if you:

  • Would like to lend your experience toward social good
  • Love operations, developing client relationships and helping students
  • Are flexible, willing to stretch outside your comfort zone, and can wear many hats

This is a part-time internship with a commitment of 10–20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Complete research on existing districts
  • Assist in brainstorming and planning for user-based events and trainings  
  • Support with logistics of user-based events and trainings
  • Create content material and videos that helps support users’ KiNVO knowledge

Qualities and qualifications

  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, with authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to learn and understand client operations and customer support models
  • Strong project management and organizational skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in K–12 education or education technology
  • An understanding of the education policy landscape

Internship Term: Fall semester (September-December), however we are open to an earlier start date.

Compensation: Course credit. You will need to confirm feasibility before accepting a role with our company.
